One Piece and Dragon Ball Z Collide: Premieres in March

Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim Toonami Block will finally show the rare anime crossover of One Piece Dragon Ball Z and Toriko.

The 2013 Toriko One Piece Dragon Ball Z Super Crossover Special will finally come to North America with an English dub.

The Toei Animation English account announced that the famous crossover special with the stars of One Piece Dragon Ball Z and Toriko will be broadcast on Cartoon Network’s Adult Swim Toonami block. The special first aired in Japan on Fuji TV on April 7, 2013, at 7:45 pm. Even though it is considered part of the One PieceanimeTV series Episode 590 entitled “The Mightiest Collaboration, History vs. Gluttonous. of the Sea”, international viewers didn’t have access to the crossover. It isn’t part of the One Piece home media release. And it’s unavailable on English-based streaming services such as Crunchyroll. Toriko x One Piece x Dragon Ball Z Special will be aired on Toonami, Saturday, March 4.

Excitement to Release the Crossover Episode

Jason DeMarco (co-creator of Ofonami) Senior Vice president of Anime & Action at Warner Bros. Discovery shared his excitement over the news via Twitter. DeMarco tweeted that “We still had some moves.” Adult Swim/Toonami fell victim to the Warner Bros. purge. Discovery was one of the victims of the content Purge. This purge famously affected HBO Max.

The Animation, which aired 13 episodes in 2022, was among the largest losses. The Shenmueanime is also a coproduction of Adult Swim, Crunchyroll, and Crunchyroll. They were acquired by Sony in 2021. Despite the setbacks, Toonami continues the airing of popular anime action series, such as My Hero Academia & One Piece, while also funding new anime series such as Housing Complex C.

One Piece is already available on streaming services like Netflix. Crunchyroll. Tubi. A live One PieceTV-series is in development at Netflix. A launch window has been established for some time in 2023.
